THE 2023-2024 SCSC CUP BEGINS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1

WHAT IS THE SCSC CUP?

1. IT ALL STARTS WITH THE DRAFT - EACH TEAM'S COACH SELECTS THEIR ROSTER

Swimmers are drafted to one of six teams for the whole season. Swimmers can earn points for their team in various ways.

2. NEXT COMES THE PRE-MEET

The days before the SCSC Cup meet, all six teams will get together for cup team practices, team bonding, and a team photo, followed by a team dinner.

3. MEET DAY

Swimmers will warmup with their team, and compete in events, with 1st - 6th place event winners scoring points for their team.

4. AFTER A MEET CHAMPION IS CROWNED...

We move on to our next events. All six events earn points towards your team's overall total. The SCSC Cup Champion is crowned through these points.

5. THE OTHER FIVE EVENTS

Pop tab drive (over the duration of the SCSC cup), relay night, food drive, home meet participation, championship qualifiers who attend champs.

6. THE 2023 SCSC CUP CHAMPION IS CROWNED

Points will be totaled and announced at the end of the short course season.

SCSC CUP HISTORY

Beginning as the ISL Meet in 2021, the SCSC Cup replaced the annual short course intrasquad meet. In 2022, the ISL team competition evolved to be a season-long competition, with team's earning points through a swim meet amongst other events. In 2023, the ISL competition was rebranded to the SCSC Cup to further build and expand on the competition, focusing on creating an even better experience for all.

PRE-MEET ACTIVITIES

GIVING BACK

We believe it is important to give back to the communities we are a part of. One of the five SCSC Cup competitions is a pop tab drive supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha. After the pop tabs are donated, the RMHC uses the aluminum from the pop tabs to help offset their electric bill each month.

In 2022, SCSC donated 104,250 pop tabs or 69.5lbs to the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha.

This competition gets highly competitive between the coaches, it's not too early to start saving your pop tabs!
