DRYLAND & WEIGHTS

Dryland - Seawolves Groups

Seawolves group swimmers may participate in dryland. Dryland is the time during practice when swimmers train outside of the pool. Typically, this workout is done around the pool deck or other areas of the facility. Swimmers will complete various exercises including core strength (ex. planks, crunches, flutter kicking, etc), light cardio, stretching and other bodyweight exercises. SCSC swimmers do not use weight until moving up to the junior and senior groups.

Weights - Junior & Senior Groups

Junior and senior group swimmers may participate in weekly weight lifting sessions. Swimmers will learn and practice age and skill appropriate weightlifting, cardio and bodyweight exercises. Swimmers who regularly attend weights will see more improvement in their swimming and fitness goals.
